True to her love for travel and experiencing the world, Empire ISIS has experienced more success internationally than she has in Canada . That is until very recently. "Things are really starting to pick up in Canada", she says, which is good news for Canadians who haven't gotten the chance to experience what it is that Empire ISIS can do.
In short, she's a cool girl, who can make reggae music unlike anything you've ever heard.
This essence was established throughout her life, having been involved in performing every since she was a young girl. It was through her travels to South America with an eco-theater group, that Empire ISIS (who's real name is Miriam) realized her attraction to reggae and the urban styles of music.
"Reggae's kind of the soundtrack of my life, along with hip hop...Wherever I went, any city in South or Central America, I can pretty much name you the top hip hop and reggae artists of those cities. That's what I gravitate to."
